HARTFORD, CT - Sutton James Inc. has entered into an exclusive agreement with Starr Aviation Agency Inc. to back its Robinson Helicopter Insurance Program.

Celebrating its tenth anniversary, the Robinson Helicopter Insurance Program is available to both private and commercial operators. The program relies on a safety audit and recurrent training provided by experienced Robinson instructors located around the country.
“We looked at Robinson accidents over a 10-year period, and found that 80% of the accidents came from 20% of the operators,” said Larry Durocher, a long-time Robinson flight school operator and program co-founder. “If we can take a closer look at our owners and operators, and pick the ones with the best practices and experience, we can cut down the odds of an accident considerably. As a result, we can usually offer the participants improved insurance rates.”
In 2006, Starr Aviation and Chubb entered into an underwriting agreement under which Chubb provides hull and liability coverages to Starr Aviation’s general aviation clients and workers compensation coverage to its general and commercial aviation clients.
